Polka Dot Nursery Art

Nursery Decor

I did this set of paintings, small frames, and hairbows with holder for another special little girl.

The valance that goes to the bedding. I used this to make sure that the images and colors matched perfectly!

I am obsessed with making hairbows. It is one of my favorite things about dressing a baby. So I think everyone should have the perfect set of bows for their little girl too.

Children's name room art

Nursery Art.
This is one of my favorite baby gifts. Who doesn't like personalized artwork that coordinates with their nursery?
This is the final image that was shown earlier as thank you cards.

My sister-in-law just wanted the Carolina logo. But I surprised them and put my nephew's name in it. I thought it was a fun idea.

This is for my cousin's little baby. His wife is due any minute! My cousin is a hunter and the room is perfect. A sweet deer out doorsy print, but no camouflage. Well, in the main bedding.

My little muses

My little muses. What would this life be like without someone who inspires them? I just have to remember to take pictures! Because goodness knows I don't have any time to paint these beautiful creatures now. When they are grown I will have all the time to paint there sweet little faces. Now, I am just happy if I can keep them fed, clean, and happy!

Nursery Tree

The sweetest little baby girl.
This is my little niece. There are many times that I have felt so lucky to have the talent that I have. This is one of those times. Sometimes I struggle with words to express how I feel for someone. And for this more then special little girl I was so honored that her Mommy let me come and be apart of her nursery.
So here is her little tree. I can't wait for her to come home and see it.

Caricatures

Caricatures... Sometimes I can get creative with birthday presents. And other times I go to Target like everyone else. But here are two little presents that I thought turned out kinda neat.
This sweet little girl was in love with fairies and all things Tinker Bell. So what better but to make her a friend of Tinker Bell.
This little guy (and his Daddy) are huge Nascar fans. So his mom asked if I could make him a race car driver. He was pretty excited to see it. We actually went to the beach with his family this summer and he and my son didn't ask to be buried in the sand to be made a mermaid, but a race car. It was cute to see the little  drivers and their cars in the sand.

Custom Note Cards

So, it has been quite a while since my last post. I am creating as the need arises. And... With the inspiration from so many other bloggers out there I have decided to post my creations. And their stories.
These are note cards that I designed for my mom's birthday. She is a big card sender, and has plans to serve a mission with my dad in the spring. So here are the first attempts. I think the ones on the bottom turned out nicer. I might revisit them again before spring. But for now I am happy with the results. I hope that she enjoys sending them.

This was the first draft. I wasn't happy with the background and the butterfly with the one on the left. So I redrew. I paint very lightly sometimes and that doesn't translate into print.

These were thank you cards that I painted for a friend that had a beautiful baby girl. I painted this with her daughter's name in it. But before I put the baby's name in it, I scanned it and added the "Thank You." This way she had note cards that went with her baby gift. And of course I can use them for other things too. I am sure that I will post the baby gift in a future post along with other personalized baby gifts.

The original note cards. I did these quite a while ago. Before kids actually. For a craft show at Duke University. I was an employee there while my husband was in school. They didn't sell too well. But the original is still hanging in my house today. I loved the way that the image turned out.

Hallie turns 2

It has been a while since I posted last. When we moved I had trouble getting pictures from my computer attached to anything. I special hard drive for them. But I think I have found a way to fix the problem. Hopefully more posts to come. But for now here are some new pictures of Miss Hallie.
